I, Andrew Lawrence, do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of the United States and of this state and that I will faithfully discharge and perform all the duties incumbent on me as Justice of the Peace in and for Ward no. five in said parish of Bossier according to the best of my abilities and understand my agreeability to the constitution and laws of the United States and of this state and I do further solemnly swear that since the adoption of the present constitution I, being a citizen of this state, have not fought a duel with deadly weapons within this state nor out of it with a citizen of the state nor have I sent or accepted a challenge to fight a duel with deadly weapons with a citizen of this state, nor have I acted as second in carrying a challenge or aided, advised, or assisted any person thus offending, so help me God.
