Description This c. 1915 picture is of the parish courthouse at Benton. It was built at a cost of $23, 684 by Gibson and Oliff Contruction. the building inspector and brick-maker was Seaborn H. Young. the lot had been donated to the parish for $1. This, the third parish courthouse, was the first at Benton. It was finished, and the celebration ball was given June 10. 1893.
