Description 1933 Bank Robbery. One of the most exciting happenings in Plain Dealing was the Feb. 6, 1933 robbery of the First State Bank. Deputy J.L. Butler, left is shown by the hole he shot in the bank window when he killed bank robber Vernon Moore. Also pictured is businessman Roy Bolinger. the second photo is gang leader Charlie Frazier, who was later captured by Butler and deputy Steve Noris East of Belcher, Louisiana.
