Description The Skannal's Oakland Plantation home was one of the earliest homes built in Bossier Parish. The rear part of the home was built in 1838, but had to be disassembled in the 1960s. The front part was built in the 1840s and is still standing. Its owners are currently restoring the house for the second time.
