Photocopy of one of four Civil War letter written by William W. Walker, who was in the Robin Grays, to his mother, Emeline Walker, who lived in Bossier Parish. Letter sent from Camp Moore, Louisiana Jan. 8, 1861. Summary: Benjamin Walker comes to visit his sons, who are in the Robin Grays and are stationed at Camp Moore. Brother Pole (Napoleon) has been sick, and the family may ask Captain Loudon Butler if the boy can be transferred or go home. Other names: Mr. Pinkard |
