Blood in the Pool: The 1868 Bossier Massacre |
Scope & Content |
Digital copy - Blood in the Pool: The 1868 Bossier Massacre by Matthew Teutsch Note: Mike Wood Park & pool in the Shady Grove neighborhood are not related to the site of the 1868 massacre. That site was on Shady Grove Plantation, near Vanceville along Benton Rd. (between Benton and Bossier City). The Shady Grove neighborhood refers not to the plantation, but to the pecan trees that shade the area. They merely share a name. |
