Notes |
In September of 2011 Ann Middleton wrote an article about Swannhaven for THE BOSSIER BANNER. The article concluded with a request for information about what happened to Swannhaven. Ann Middleton spoke with Ann Graham, a descendant of the Swann Family. Ms. Graham related that the house was torn down and a club house was built on the site. The property was ultimately purchased by a bank. On 04 October 2011 Mr. Dale Swann, also a descendant of the Swann Family called Ann Middleton to say that the house had burned. He remembers playing at the site as a child and finding charred pieces of dishes there. In all probability, the house burned and what remained was torn down. Note above by Ann Middleton, 04 October 2011. |
