Proposal for chages in ambulance service |
Scope & Content |
Proposal for changes in ambulance service in Bossier City. Cuestas Ambulance Emergency Medical Team Proposal for changes in ambulance service in Bossier City. 1.Cuestas Ambulance will make available to the Bossier City Fire Department two ambulances to be manned, maintained and operated by the Bossier City Fire Department. Should any of the ambulances become non-operational, Cuestas Ambulance will provide additional vehicle(s) to bring the total to two at all times. 2.The two vehicles will be operated only in response to emergency calls within the limits of Bossier City, when Cuestas Ambulance is not able to respond within a reasonable time limit. The dispatcher at Cuestas Ambulance will notify the Bossier Fire Department when this situation arises. 3.Bossier City will provide collision insurance for the ambulance mentioned above. Bossier City will also provide a Hold Harness agreement freeing Cuestas Ambulance of liability for actions performed by members of the Bossier Fire Department while using the ambulance. 4.Cuestas Ambulance will fully stock the ambulance at the beginning of the loan period. At the end of the same, the Bossier Fire Department will return the vehicles in good condition and fully stocked. 5.The loan period will terminate when either Bossier City or a private operator assumes full responsibility for the emergency service in Bossier City. 6.Cuestas Ambulance will decrease its emergency base fee to a flat fee of $150 per trip on the patients using the vehicles on loan. The $150 fee is necessary in order to cover fixed costs, wear and tear, and lease expenses on the vehicles. Collection of the fee will be entirely the responsibility of Cuestas Ambulance, but the Bossier Fire Department will notify the Cuestas Ambulance dispatcher of all trips made on the loaned vehicles and the Bossier Fire Department personnel operating the ambulances will fill out and turn over to Cuestas Ambulance the appropriate tickets for every trip. |
