Photocopy of brochure for the dedication of the one-room schoolhouse in Benton, Louisiana, on September 30, 1982. The Bossier District PTA, in cooperation with Bossier Parish School Board, has restored a one-room school-house [sic]-making it into a museum for school children and area citizens. September 30, 1982 is the museum's opening date. The school-house [sic] now located across from the Bossier Parish School Board Offices in Benton, was moved from behind Rocky Mount School wehre it had served Bossier youngsters since 1935, possibly earlier. The PTA will now schedule field trips to allow students to see the museum." |
