Four page article "Friendship Baptist Church," by Dale Jennings. Mr. Jennings researched and wrote this article after the discovery of three pieces of an early cornerstone (1933?) of the church near Vanceville, Louisiana. Friendship Baptist Church was organized July 23, 1899. Also included in the article is a hand-drawn map indicating where the cornerstone was discovered, the location of the first church site, and the location of the second church site. A copy of a color photograph of the three pieces of the cornerstone accompanies the article. |
