Recorded testimony in probating a last will for George O. Gilmer. State of Louisiana Parish of Bossier to} To the honorable the Clerk of the District Court of said Parish and State. The petition of Martha Johnson a resident of said parish and state with respect represents to your honor that George E. Gilmer a minor was of the marriage between her and George O. Gilmer late of said parish and state deceased has no tutor or tutoris qualified according to law. That she is unwilling to act as tutoris for said minor. Wherefore she prays that a family meeting be (__) for the purpose of recommending since suitable purpose to act as tutor and under tutor for said minor. They said minor has the following male relatives alive to age of twenty one year's residing in said parish to Mr. Larry B. Gilmer a brother. Peachy R. Gilmer a cousin, John Mithen Sandidge a brother in law and Gilmer, Leonidas P. Spyker a brother in law, Patrick B. Cash a friend , Francis W. Armor and Larry (__) wherefore she pray that a family meeting be (__) comprised of the above named per as to recommend some suitable purpose to act Pg. 2 That they made this declaration voluntarily and without equivocation I herein Rad the Will in an audible and distinct voice to the witness and other persons present and finding it regular in form ordered it to be executed and recorded and ord(_) the original to be reposted in my office after having argued it one (__) at the beginning and end of each page this 13th day of April 1850.
