in 1922, Stinson shot and dangerously wounded Dr. C.H. Irion in the throat. The shooting occurred in downtown Benton, when the two met while driving buggies in the street. Stinson surrendered to Sheriff Adair immediately after. Stinson was released on $4,000 bond. |
