During World War II, Teague was appointed to organize units of the Home Guard in Bossier City and was chairman of several bond drives. He was a member of the Bossier City Lions for more than 40 years and a past president of the Bossier City Chamber of Commerce. He was chairman of the committee that organized the Metropolitan Planning Commission for the city and parish and served as a member of that body's Board of Appeals for several years. Teague also served eight years as a member of the local draft board. |
