Hamilton Cotton Oil Mill, on Hamilton Road in Bossier City, was a monstrous affair that processed cotton seed into items including cooking oil and bulk for cattle feed. the oil was even used to make early plastics. The mill was owned by William E. Hamilton, a leading citizen of Shreveport who happened to be born in Bossier. |
