Description |
One quilt from the Bossier Parish Library Aulds Branch 2000 summer reading program. A "millennium quilt" made of 63 muslin squares. Each square (except for 6 blanks) has been decorated by a child in the reading program. Most squares contain a drawing representing a childrens' book (ex. Winnie-the-Pooh, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Where the Wild Things Are) along with the name of the reading program participant. Navy blue fabric edges the squares. A sleeve of muslin has been sewn to reverse, so quilt can hang for display. Lucille Marabella was the childrens' librarian when these quilts were made. |
